. Printed projector design on A4 paper
. Clear plastic or acetate (the thicker the better!)
. A ruler
. A glass cutter or utility knife (or scissors)
. A cutting board
Place the design on a cutting board, and place the plastic or acetate on top. Tape down the acetate and paper to the board.
Score along the inside edges of the design. A second ruler really helps to do this, although anything with a blunt edge will do.
Cut along the outside of the design with a cutting knife. Use the ruler to ensure you get a clean edge.
You should now be able to push your projector out from the board, and fold it around into shape. Clip the end edges together, using the small tab to slide into the small hole.
Voila! You should now have your own hologram projector!
Using the HoloVid app, you can now load your own video or photo to display on your projector. Load the app, and press the image button on at the bottom to load your desired hologram from your iPhone’s camera roll.
When loaded, you can slide the slider to remove darkness or brightness from the image. This is to lift the image from it’s background, and give your hologram the impression of floating on the projector.
Once you’re happy with how your hologram looks, press the play icon in the top right.
You can now place your projector on your phone to see your own DIY hologram!
